  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk or half-and-half
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 cups blueberries fresh or frozen
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • Powdered sugar for garnish optional

1. Prepare the Bread

  • Cut the bread into 1-inch cubes and let it sit out for a few hours to become slightly stale.

2. Make the Custard Mixture
