4cupscooked green beansabout 2 cans, drained, or 1 pound fresh, trimmed and steamed
1can10.5 ounces condensed cream of mushroom soup
2/3cupmilk
1teaspoonsoy sauceoptional
1/4teaspoonblack pepper
1 1/3cupscrispy fried onions
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce (if using), and black pepper. Stir until smooth.
Add the green beans to the bowl and mix well to coat them with the soup mixture.
Transfer the green bean mixture to a 9-inch square or similar-sized baking dish.
Sprinkle 2/3 cup of the fried onions over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
Remove the casserole from the oven, sprinkle the remaining fried onions on top, and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the onions are golden brown.
