Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups cooked green beans about 2 cans, drained, or 1 pound fresh, trimmed and steamed
  • 1 can 10.5 ounces condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/3 cups crispy fried onions

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce (if using), and black pepper. Stir until smooth.
  • Add the green beans to the bowl and mix well to coat them with the soup mixture.
  • Transfer the green bean mixture to a 9-inch square or similar-sized baking dish.
  • Sprinkle 2/3 cup of the fried onions over the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  • Remove the casserole from the oven, sprinkle the remaining fried onions on top, and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the onions are golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.
