Instructions
Cooking the Pasta
Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add your pasta and cook according to the package directions, usually about 8-10 minutes, until al dente.
Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining, and set the pasta aside.
Making the Boursin Sauce
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
Stir in the Boursin cheese, breaking it up with your spoon, and cook for another 2 minutes until it starts to melt.
Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Allow the sauce to simmer for 5-7 minutes until it thickens to a creamy consistency.
Add salt and pepper to taste. You can also toss in the Parmesan cheese at this point for added flavor and creaminess.
Combining and Serving
Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly. If the sauce seems too thick, you can add the reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
Serve immediately, garnished with freshly chopped parsley and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese if desired.
