Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water slurry
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken strips, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden and fully cooked. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Toss in the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and slightly tender.
  • Push the broccoli to one side of the skillet and add the minced garlic. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to combine.
  • Pour in the cornstarch slurry and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken and broccoli evenly.
  • Drizzle with sesame oil, give it a final stir, and serve immediately over steamed rice or noodles.
