Instructions
 

Mixing the Dough

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and peanut butter. Beat until creamy.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a smooth dough forms.

Shaping the Cookies

  • Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls.
  • Roll each ball in granulated sugar, coating evenly.

Adding the Chocolate Kisses

  • Place the sugar-coated dough balls onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 8–10 minutes or until the cookies are puffed and lightly golden.
  • Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each one. The cookie edges may crack slightly, which is perfectly fine.

Baking to Perfection

  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 2–3 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool completely.
